Bergen is the gateway to the fantastic fjords, and this coastal town has been designated one of the European cities of Culture. Bergen is the birthplace of the famous composer Edvard Grieg.

Main attractions of the city are Bryggen, the fish market and Mt Floyen from where you have a magnificent view over the city. Bergen is the starting point for Hurtigruten, the Coastal Express Voyage.
